Survival? Hey take that world I made it! (Two points for me)

So I made it through the first week! Woot! Oh yeah! Give it up!

Now only an eternity left and I’m free :-( hum maybe I shouldn’t get too ecstatic just yet. I have more term papers than I have ever had in my life which in some classes means that I don’t have any finals and some it just mean I have something else due at the same time. Plus it seems that about 10% of the faculty is going to be cut here at USU and so I may not be able to get my degree like I was hoping. Hmm some days it seems that the fates really hate me and thus they suck… but on the up side it may not be as bad as it seems. There is a chance that they will keep the good ones and get rid of those who are more like the Devil himself, but I digress. All in all it is not a good time to be a student here at USU, but ‘Shrug’ what can you do? Press on that’s the key, plus well if I can’t finish I suppose it wasn’t meant to be (sigh).

On a different note I am broke. Yep I have whopping $38 dollars to my name. That’s what happens when you have to get your car worked on and such not but oh well it’s just paper right. (Paper that is really nice to have and is a strange color of green. Hmmm… I wonder why they chose green?) The plus sides to my life right now is my groovy apartment is now clean. Happy days! I just finished a really good book (for fun even!). It was called the Sirens Song and it’s the second book to the Coronus Chronicles; a very sarcastic series. I love it. Now I have to scavenge for another good book, but that shouldn’t be too hard. If anyone has any recommendations let me know. I’m always up for a good read. Nothing too dry please I have to read too many of those as it is thank you very much. Anthropology books tend to be torture rather than fun. “Sigh” I suppose that’s what you get with a degree that doesn’t include writing classes. Alas good literature I knew you well!

On the plus side I’m getting closer to having the exhibit that I’ve been working on done and with any luck we’ll be able to open in February. That will be a load off and it will be very, very cool. I know a lot of people are a little apprehensive to look at it and it make me smile. For those of you who don’t know it’s on body modifications and I’ve had a lot of people who quote “feel guilty” looking at it. It makes me laugh. There’s a book in the Anthropology Museum that we’ve been using and one of the girls working there looked at it and she said she felt really guilty looking at it. She read the chapter on scalping and she said it was kind of disturbing. I must say that I haven’t had to read about scalping people so I think it might be, but I think she picked a bad chapter to start with :-)

Any way, I must contemplate in the purpose of the universe so… God Speed.
